NPCK collects and updates the prevailing ware potato market prices in 5 major towns on its website twice a week. This information is useful to potato stakeholders particularly farmers and market outlets in their selling and buying decisions respectively. During this month, the major towns have experienced relatively stable prices. This was due to relatively stable supply from the potato producing regions To establish the prevailing potato prices, NPCK has appointed scouts (who are also potato traders )in the 5 major towns who check the prices of potato per bag and relay the same to the council which then converts the price per bag into price per kg.
