NPCK and Viazi Kings Visit Techfarm Seed Unit and Baraka Agriculture College, Molo.

On 11 February 2026, NPCK, together with Viazi Kings Ltd, paid a visit to Techfarm Seed Unit and Baraka Agriculture College, both based in Molo, to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration within the potato value chain.

The visits centred on three key areas of cooperation: NPCK membership and its benefits to seed producers and agricultural institutions; the availability of certified seed potatoes from both institutions to be listed on the Viazisoko digital platform, broadening farmer access to quality planting material; and their potential participation in NPCK’s county demonstration farms, which serve as practical learning hubs for smallholder farmers across major potato-growing regions.

The discussions were productive and marked an important step in strengthening the network of certified seed suppliers on the Viazisoko platform, ensuring farmers have reliable, verified options when sourcing planting material for the season ahead.
