The month of April has experienced fluctuations in prices from high to low and high again. The low prices are occasioned by the closure of many fast food joints leading to fewer consumers of potato products. Traders are thus forced to reduce the potato prices so as to enable them dispose off the stock they have to avoid spoilage. On the other hand, the month of April has experienced heavy rainfall in the third and fourth week leading to limited supply of potato to the markets. This explains why the prices have increased in the third week. The Fourth week experienced reduced prices occasioned by many potatoes rotting in the market thus traders had to sell at a lower price.
