Potato farmers’ field days usually provide an excellent opportunity for sharing information, technologies, alongside providing an avenue for networking and sharing trending issues within the potato value chain.
On 20th July 2023, during the 2nd Farmer’s Field Day held at FreshCrop Ltd farm in Mau Narok; farmers had an opportunity to attend and learn about potato production and the importance of using certified seeds. The field day was organized by FreshCrop in partnership with Omnia, SNV, Nakuru County NPCK, and inputs and service providers. Over 5,000 farmers from various counties participated and benefited in divers ways through this field event. The event was graced by Hon. Leonard Bor, the County Executive Committee Member in Charge of Agriculture, Nakuru County. He was accompanied by Dr. Kiplimo Lagat, the Chairman of the CECM Caucus.
