The County Government of Nyeri has joined other counties in launching the Crops Act (Potato Regulation) 2019 in a meeting organized in the county on 15th October 2019. Among the attendees were county enforcement unit, ministry of trade, department of agriculture, Agricultural Council of Kenya (AgCK), Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA), Agricultural Sector Development Support Programme (ASDSP), Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), provincial administration and NPCK.
The county committed to start crackdown on value chain actors contravening the regulations while the attendees committed their support towards implementation of the regulations in the county.
