A need assessment for farmer groups and cooperatives was done in Nandi Chesumei subcounty on 9th October 2024 and Meru, Buuri subcounty on 8th 0ctober 2024. During the meeting, farmers were also trained and registered on Viazi Soko platform. A sensitization on importance of building strong marketing groups and formation of a National cooperative was done A total of 15 farmer groups and 2 community based organization, one cooperative participated in Nandi and in Meru County the meeting was attended by one cooperative; Ntirimiti Potato Cooperative.
