Mau Fleet Sacco farmers during the potato regulations sensitization forum in Nakuru

On Saturday 29th June 2019, NPCK engaged with over 50 large scale potato farmers in Nakuru Town. The farmers who belong to Mau Fleet Sacco, gathered to be sensitized on the new potato regulations 2019. The sensitization exercise was conducted at Texas Hotel in Nakuru where the farmers committed to support the implementation of the regulations and affirmed that they are ready to market and sell their potato in the newly gazetted 50kg maximum potato packaging. The large scale potato farmers engage in ware potato production in Nyandarua, Narok and Nakuru counties. Mr Eddy Mburu, the Chairman of Wakulima Market in Nairobi, pledged to work with the farmers on marketing and selling their produce in Nairobi Wakulima Market.
