NPCK in partnership with Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) and other partners held a breakfast meeting at Jacaranda Hotel Nairobi on 12th November 2021. The objective of the meeting was to brainstorm on Warehouse Receipt System and inclusion of Potato crop into Strategic food reserve. This initiative will help reduce the post-harvest losses in potato subsector.
A seven members committee was set to assist in developing guidelines for inclusion of potato in the Warehouse Receipt System. The committee representative were; farmers, processors, regulatory body, aggregates, county government representative, NPCK and Co-operative bank to represent the banking sector.
