In the potato goodness corner, we shall look at how to prepare Lyonnais Potatoes.


  1. 8 large potatoes
  2. 4 large onions
  3. 2 spoonful of margarine/butter
  4. Half table spoon of salt


  1. Wash and slice your potatoes.
  2. Clean and place them in a suitable pot.
  3. Add water and salt to the potato slices.
  4. Boil until they get cooked but crunchy when you bite.
  5. Drain off the water.
  6. Slice the onions. The more onions the better.
  7. Heat a pan with oil and add the sliced onions.
  8. Add salt to the onions, stir and allow cooking.
  9. Just before the onions start to brown, add the sliced potatoes, season with salt and pepper.
  10. Allow cooking until they start turning brown.
  11. Add margarine/butter for better results and wait for 5 minutes cooking as you stir evenly.
  12. Serve hot with your favorite meal.
