Information plays an important part in the wider learning process. Resource centers have an important role to play in improving access to such useful information. A resource center collects and organizes materials that are useful to a particular group of people, for example either relevant to the producers, marketers, distributors etc.

In efforts to enhance information sharing, Elgon Kenya, the University of Nairobi, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Education launched the Kantaria Agricultural Technology and Innovation Center (KATIC) at the University of Nairobi, Upper Kabete Campus, on 25th July 2023. KATIC is set to foster seamless access to knowledge and learning materials, as well as networks and linkages to students, farmers, and all agricultural stakeholders. The Chief Guest was Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary, accompanied by PS Agriculture, PS Education, ambassadors for France, Israel and Japan, other dignitaries in the government, CEOs, and directors from the private sector, NPCK among others.
