Kenya National Farmers’ Federation (KENAFF) held their 76th Annual General Meeting in December 2022. Event theme; Empowering farmers (the only pathway to true bottom-up development in Kenya). The event was graced by the cabinet secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MoA&LD) Hon. Mithika Linturi. The CS assured farmers of the government’s commitment and priority set on agriculture as one of the five key pillars of the country’s economic recovery plan. Farmers being united and working together in farmer groups, farmer organizations, cooperatives, or unions is one of the key issues underlined as one of the strategies aimed at developing the agricultural sector. Farmer representatives from different counties also participated in this important event. NPCK and other commodity associations who are members of KENAFF also attended this important meeting.
