The County Government of Bungoma, International Potato Center CIP, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), farmer groups, the county assembly agricultural committee, and NPCK convened a meeting on 9th September 2021 to launch the county potato strategy in Bungoma town. The strategy included a potato suitability map which showed other areas with potential for growing potatoes. If well implemented, the strategy will go a long way in providing road map for transforming potato value chain in the county.
