NPCK staff sensitizing Bungoma County farmers on potato regulations
On 26th June 2019 NPCK sensitized over 100 farmers drawn from various sub counties in Bungoma County on the Crops (Irish Potato) regulations, 2019. The farmers had converged at Mabanga ATC to elect interim committee members for the Bungoma County Potato Cooperative society. NPCK also trained the farmers on Viazi Soko platform and issued the elected interim officials with copies of the Potato Regulations 2019 and the 2019 potato varieties catalogues. The farmers committed to play their roles in implementing the regulations and promised to work with NPCK, Bungoma County government and other partners to see a successful implementation of the regulations. CIP gave the highlights of the AVCD potato project while department of cooperative trained the farmers on group dynamics.
